United Nations, Sep 24 (PTI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's wife Gursharan Kaur and their two daughters were among those who witnessed his address to the UN General Assembly today. Gursharan Kaur was seated in the visitors' gallery where she was accompanied by eldest daughter Upinder Singh, a professor of history in Delhi University, and her son and the younger daughter Amrit Singh, who is based in the US. Amrit Singh is a staff attorney at the American Civil Liberties Union and her husband Barton Beebe is a law professor in New York University. Beebe was also in the gallery. Indian Ambassador to the US Nirupama Rao and Lakshmi Puri, wife of Permanent Representative to the UN Hardeep Singh Puri were seated with the Prime Minister's family members.
