Bangalore, Sept 24 (PTI) The Railway Ministry has named the Mysore-Yesvantpur-Mysore train as Malgudi Express in memory of well-known writer R K Narayan. The change of name of the train comes into immediate effect, a South Western Railway release said today.Narayan, regarded as one of the greatest Indian English novelists, had lived in Mysore from 1950 till he moved to Chennai in the 1990s due to ill health.During his stay in Mysore, he had penned his famous masterpieces, conjuring up the fictional town of Malgudi.
