PHAGWARA,ASpril6,2012: An NRI woman was allegedly robbed of cash and valuables by three armed men, who also attacked and injured her father-in-law here, police said today. The US-based woman was with her father-in-law on a rickshaw when three motorcycle-borne men intercepted them. Ritu Chaudhary was robbed of Rs 4.5 lakh near KG Resort, she claimed in her complaint to police. When her father-in-law, Shishupal Singh, tried to intervene he was attacked by the assailants, police said. Chaudhary also lost her passport, mobile phone and laptop to the assailants, she said in the complaint. "The case is being probed," Sadar SHO Manjit Singh said.
