WASHINGTON: Six eminent persons, besides a current civil servant, will be felicitated in Jaipur later this week for their contribution to the People of Indian Origin (PIO) community, an NGO said on Tuesday. The Global Organisation of People of Indian Origin (GOPIO) announced its Community Service awardees which include Faisal Kottikollon ( Bahrain); Raghunath Manet (France); Prof Ved Prakash Nanda (USA); Dr Rami Ranger, MBE (Britain); Dr Ajeet Singhvi (USA); Datuk A Vaithilingam ( Malaysia) and Hendry H Wickramasinghe ( Sri Lanka). K Mohandas, Secretary Shipping and Transport, is also another awardee.
