Indians I spoke to in Australia feeling safe: Adam Gilchrist

Bangalore, December 9: Former Australian cricket captain Adam Gilchrist has said that the Indians he had interacted with in Australia told him that they are feeling safe in the country. Speaking to reporters here at a promotional campaign of Wollongong University, of which he is the brand ambassador, Gilchrist said: ”Which ever Indian I have spoken to, he has told me he is feeling safe living in Australia. Nothing has happened in the recent past.” He, however, condemned the racial attacks saying that no Australian could be proud of racial attacks on Indians. “No foreign students should be received in this manner,” he said. He, further, said the environment at Wollongong University was cordial and safe. “There were no such incidents at the university campus,” Gilchrist said.
