Mumbai, November 16: The State Bank of India has entered into a tie-up with money transfer agency MoneyGram to provide in-bound cash remittances facility. The facility is available in 100 SBI branches in Chennai and Mumbai. Under the facility, a non-resident Indian can deposit money in any of the 256,000 locations across the globe or online which can be availed by his relative in the 100 branches. SBI’s Chief General Manager Rajeev Mehra said SBI already has a tie-up with MoneyGram’s rival Western Union Money Transfer available across its network and added that it is targeting to scale up MoneyGram to all of its 13,000 branches in two years.
