New Delhi, Sep 28 (PTI) Turkey today said it is keen to sign a free trade agreement (FTA) with India. FTA would be a game changer. The joint study has been completed. It is waiting for signatures from both sides then formal negotiations would begin, but certainly giving it a push would help it, Ambassador of Turkey to India Burak Akcapar said at meeting organised by PHD chamber here. Besides, enhancing exports from both nations, he said that FTA would open up Indian markets for those countries which have association agreements with Turkey. Further, he said, as such there are no such impediments. He said that sectors like tourism, education, small and medium enterprises, pharmaceutical and petrochemicals in Turkey hold huge potential for Indian companies. The bilateral trade between the countries stood at USD 3.14 billion in 2009-10.
