Indian national to be put on murder trial in Singapore

SINGAPORE: An Indian national in Singapore will face trial next month for allegedly murdering a Filipina in March last year, a media report said.
Gopinathan Nair Remadevi Bijukumar (36) is accused of killing 30-year-old Roselyn Reyes Pascua in her rented room at the Peony Mansion in the central business district, The Straits Times reported.
Pascua was found with multiple stab wounds by the building caretaker.
Nair's trial in the Singapore high court has been scheduled between September 20 and 30.
