Court orders to arrest Rajnikanth family members
Superstar Rajnikanth family was never into any kind of controversy all these years and this happens to be the first time that Rajnikanth`s family is pulled into the show which has shaken the foundation of the family.
Financer Sumerchand Baffna of Swastic Finance Corporation has filed a case with the 23rd Metropolitan Magistrate Court in Saidapet on December 24th 2010. Baffna had stated that he had lent Rs.20 lakhs to Latha Rajinikanth and Soundarya Rajinikanth to Ochre Studios Private Ltd for business development and later on latha and soundarya issued two cheque of each Rs.10 lakhs which got bounced due to inadequate funds in the account.
The financier registered a case under section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, sent summons to Latha Rajinikanth and Soundarya asking them to appear before the court but the duo however failed to turn up for the hearing.
On Wednesday morning magistrate K.Ravi issued a bailable warrant but when the case came up for hearing around 3 p.m. the petitioner said he had received a demand draft drawn on HDFC Bank for Rs.20 lakhs from the opposite party and pleaded that his plea be dismissed.
Accepting the plea, the magistrate said that the matter has been settled out of court.
