JHANSI: A Samajwadi Party leader and his supporters have been booked in connection with the attack on mediapersons during counting of votes in Jhansi. A case was registered against defeated SP candidate from Babina seat, Chandrapal Yadav, and his supporters after a journalist, Vikas, filed an FIR against them, police said. Yadav and his supporters had allegedly clashed with some TV camera-persons yesterday during counting of votes. About half-a-dozen mediapersons were injured and their equipment were also broken during the incident. Meanwhile, some mediapersons sat on dharna to press for the arrest of the accused even though Yadav met them and regretted for yesterday's incident. The authorities said that those responsible for the incident have been identified and would be arrested soon. Yadav and his supporters were also booked in another case after Navavad SHO, Naseem Khan, filed a complaint against them alleging that they barged into police station and hindered government work.
