Indian man in UK stabbed to death in carjacking

LONDON: A 32-year-old Indian man in London was reportedly stabbed to death by a masked knifeman trying to steal his car. Harjinder Singh Bhurji, from Ilford, was stabbed in the chest by a masked man in Ilford, east London, who then took his black Mercedes. He had been sitting in the car with a female friend when they were attacked. The man threatened to kill the passenger, in her 20s, if Bhurji didn't hand over his car keys, the Daily Mail reports. Bhurji was left bleeding to death from knife wounds in the road in front of the terrified passenger. The car was found abandoned a few hours later in Chingford, the report said. Four men have been arrested over the death of a man who was stabbed to death during a carjacking in east London.
Detective Chief Inspector Phil Rickells, who is leading the murder inquiry, said that the suspect appears to have been purely motivated by stealing the car. "As far as we can tell, the victim did not know the suspect or why he might want his car," Rickells added.
According to the report, the suspect is described as black, about six feet two inch tall, of slim build and wearing a grey beanie-style hat, grey hoodie and dark-coloured bandana.
