Police said the accident might have occurred between 9 and 9.30 am near the proposed toll gate on the Outer Ring Road when Ayazuddin lost control over his Suzuki GSX R1000 bike while driving at high speed. The superbike skidded off the road and crashed, dragging the duo to a distance.
Ayazuddin and Azmal, who was riding pillion, suffered critical injuries. The two were heading to Gachibowli from Shamshabad, police added.
Police personnel stationed at Gachibowli crossroads were alerted about the accident by a cab driver, who was passing that way. The Raidurgam police found the duo in an unconscious state with bleeding injuries.
Ayazuddin, a second-year student of St Mary's College, Yousufguda, is the youngest son of Azharuddin. Azmal, who was pursuing intermediate at the same institution, was the grandson of former MP Khaleel-ur-Rahman. He is Azhar's sister's son.
